Creative Brief: The existing collection handout is outdated and ineffective. Make it more effective at giving doctors instructions on how to successfully collect cord blood and cord tissue while reflecting new brand guidelines.
Role: Lead Designer
Process: I started with research on the process of cord blood collection and worked with the senior designer to write the new copy. I sketched the layout and eventually moved to the computer. I also photographed the collection kit on the back.
Key takeaway: Don’t be afraid to think outside the box. Early on, I was too influenced by the existing piece. Once the senior designer suggested a horizontal layout, I was able to rethink the rest of the design and bring a fresher, updated look.
